Homemade Granola Recipe
There are some things that are so simple to make that it’s silly to ever buy them again. Granola is one of those things.
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/3 cup raw nuts (I like to use crushed walnuts)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper (or a silpat for reduced waste).
In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients and stir to mix.
Pour the granola onto your prepared pan and spread it in an even layer.
Bake for 21-24 minutes. The granola will be golden-brown when it’s ready.
Let the granola cool completely, undisturbed (at least 45 minutes).
Store the granola in an airtight container at room temperature for 1-2 weeks or in a sealed freezer bag in the freezer for up to 3 months.
